For several years Mr. Baker taught project management as an adjunct faculty. Mr. Baker's teaching experiences and DeVry Universitiy's faculty training inspired the development of the Project Management eWorkbook utilizing a learn by doing approach. The Business Master's Level PM 586 course piloted the first edition of the workbook, validated the educational value, and generated many improvement ideas incorporated in later editions.
Dr. Edwards has been using the Project Management eWorkbook for his ISE 5520 course for several years. The course was originally a special projects class but now has it's own designation with enrollment doubling last year. The continuing education course new last year was the first application in a Live Online environment using a team teaching approach by Dr. Edwards and Mr. Baker. The class was well recieved and plans are to offer it several times this year.
Dr. Patel used the Project Management eWorkbook in the first application of an undergraduate class with a specific discipline focus on Information Technology. Originally it was paired with an IT textbook, but this past year she used it as a standalone workbook for the class. The learn by doing approach to the workbook exercises increases student satisfaction and comprehension.
